Philip has spent 30 years in executive positions within IT and Telecommunications companies with strong global business experience in Europe, North America and SE Asia. During the last fifteen years he has held senior executive positions in start-up companies in Corporate Strategy & Alliances, Routes to Market, Market and Product Development. His most recent assignments have included positioning a Swiss based broadband multi-media company for IPO which achieved Goldman Sachs recognition as one of the most successful IPOs in its history, with stock 34 times oversubscribed at the opening of trading in September 1999. He recruited and managed a team of 28 people from ten countries in marketing and product management and was the executive interface to key clients such as BT, Deutsche Telekom, Telecom Italia and Astra Satellite Services. He has recently built a European presence for a Silicone Valley start-up in Europe, recruiting a support and marketing team in the UK, and closing business with BTOpenworld and T-Online worth $5million.This assignment included the financial restructuring of the company, involving institutions in the US such as Coral Ventures and ChinaVest, and T-Ventures in Europe. He is President of Travis Consulting Group - Europe, a company specialising in investment search with institutional investors and angels in Europe, Middle East and North America, re-enforced by fixed-term executive assignments of seasoned executives in start-up and spin-off companies. |
